AIDS AND AFRICANS

While responsible leaders do all they can to preserve health in the world, each nation must come to grips with some stark realities:

1.  Man, by nature, is selfish.  He will try to find a way to benefit himself, even in calamitous situations.  In the propaganda about AIDS, powerful nations will try to cast a shadow of shame over weaker nations.  Races that control the majority of the wealth resources will try to make races that have less control of wealth resources be seen and thought of as being the carriers of the deadly viruses.  It's simple racism.  It is amazing how, without a cure, AIDS suddenly left the country of its first outbreak and became the defining factor of the Black continent.  And then, lo, and behold, it jumped back into the Black neighborhoods of the country it left.   But it didn't jump back into any other neighborhood in that country.   Am I missing something, or am I just stupid?   Some things don't "just happen".  They are by design.  Since man is, by nature, selfish, poorer people should be very careful about in whom they put their trust.  We are at a point where one must be very careful about which doctor or hospital he or she uses.  The godlessness of many in our current society places many weak, innocent and "undesirable" people at risk.   Therefore, caution is necessary.

2.  We must face the realities.   If AIDS is indeed as rampant in Africa as is reported, solutions must be sought.  Practical human considerations demand that we all do all we can to find cures and get the cures to the affected people(s).  But we must go beyond that.   The so-called "poorer nations" and/or "infected nations" must not buy into the propaganda that the news headlines are spewing out.  You must not see yourself as doomed.  Again, you must not see yourself as doomed.  You must not accept the label of "AIDS carrier of the world".   That is the label the world news media has (have) put on Africa.  The tempo of the reporting of the African AIDS situation has been nothing less than atrocious.  Every African and every other person of good conscience should reject the negative aura that attends this type of broadcasting.  (I speak as one who spent a number of years in broadcasting).  In my opinion, wealthy societies, instead of pouring the billions of financial resources into the countries to help avert what they proclaim as a disaster, are smearing the names of the countries, the races, and the people(s) of the continent.   This is unacceptable.

3.  The main reason I'm writing this is to say the following:  The nations that are experiencing increased levels of AIDS infections have the most responsibility in this matter.  You are responsible to God.   Regardless of how you reached your current rate of infection, there is help in God.   You may laugh, but He may be your only solution.   I can say that I know He is a solution, a sure one.   Let me share this with you:   A few years ago, a group of Christians in the United States of America began praying against AIDS.  Suddenly the health professionals announced that AIDS was no longer the problem it had been.   The health professionals, as far as I know, did not give God the credit for this improvement.   However, I give Him the credit.  I was the manager of a Christian radio station at the time and one of my announcers was a leader of the prayer movement against AIDS.   God did it!  God did it!!   God did it!!!   God can do it for you too.  Don't sit there and wait for selfish man to rescue you.   His financial resources can help, if he will give them.   However, they are not the only answer.   The main answer is God.  He works miracles.   You may laugh and label me a religious fanatic, but, if it works (and it's right) don't knock it.   I have seen God do miracles.  I know He can help you.   This is my contribution to your solution:   Turn to God, repent of your sins, receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour and ask God to heal your land.
God said,
"If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."   (II Chronicles 7:13-14) The Holy Bible

Remember, man cannot, by himself, doom you.   But, you doom yourself when you fail to repent and ask for God's help.   There is help in God.   Whether or not you receive it depends totally upon you.

4.  I can do one more thing for you.  I can pray for you.  A group of Christians in various nations are praying for others.   We are called The Hallelujah Prayer Warriors.  If you would like for us to pray for you, your country, or whatever concerns you, please contact us as follows:
